Fireplaces and Candlelight

December 29th, 2007 by Jeannine C

Tonight is a very cold night in Colorado.  One of those nights where the car windows frost over in minutes, and when our  Fireplaces And Candlelight And Wine Siberian Huskies don’t want to come inside.  It’s a night when even an extra blanket isn’t enough to keep you warm while you watch TV.  A perfect night for relaxing and snuggling close with someone you love.  Our answer is to turn off the lights, light a bunch of candles, and sit in front of a warm fire sipping hot chocolate and munching on thick chocolate chip cookies.

There’s something so peaceful about spending an evening this way.  Between the large flames in the fireplace and the tiny flames of the candles, the room is filled with a golden glow, warm and cozy.

Want to share this same evening with someone special?  You don’t have to wait for Valentine’s Day to do it.  Just bring home some hot chocolate and cookies and an assortment of pillars and votives in different sizes and colors.  Put a few candles on each table in the room, maybe a few on the mantle, then start the fire.  Make sure you have plenty of wood handy, so you don’t have to run outside into the frigid night for more logs.   Then relax and enjoy.
